UMASS AMHERST LIBRARY ANNOUNCES
JUNE WORKSHOPS FOR FACULTY AND INSTRUCTORS
Amherst, MA - The UMass Amherst Library will offer two workshops in June for faculty and instructors: "Finding Library Resources," on Wednesday, June 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and "Putting Reading Lists Online in RefShare" on Thursday, June 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. To register: http://www.umass.edu/accoprod/workshop/register.php. Classroom location will be confirmed upon registration.
"Finding Library Resources" will discuss the vast number of credible online resources available through the Library. It will also illustrate how to link these resources to SPARK, blogs, and other online tools so that students find them as easy to use as the Google search box.
"Putting Reading Lists Online in RefShare" will illustrate how to create sharable reading lists that link back to the Library's subscriptions and print holdings. It will also demonstrate how to import RefShare reading lists into SPARK courses, course blogs, Web pages, and emails. Students and colleagues can export the reading lists into their own RefWorks accounts. RefShare is a feature in RefWorks, the Library's web-based citation management software program used to organize and generate bibliographies, manage citations, and retrieve references.
