UMASS AMHERST LIBRARIES
DIGITIZE UMASS AMHERST YEARBOOKS
Amherst, MA – The UMass Amherst Libraries’ Special Collections and University Archives Department has digitized all of the UMass Amherst yearbooks, the Index and the Shorthorn (Stockbridge School of Agriculture); both yearbooks are available at http://bit.ly/onlineindex.
Special Collections digitized all the volumes of the Index, from the first issue in 1869 through 2005, when the Index ceased publishing. The Shorthorn volumes are available beginning with 1921 and continuing through 2002.
The yearbooks were digitized as part of the Library’s partnership with the Internet Archive and the Open Content Alliance with cooperation from Boston Library Consortium Member Libraries.
