If you are planning to do extensive research during your visit, we suggest you contact a subject specialist librarian prior to your visit.

View Reference Desk hours, or contact a reference librarian by phone, email, instant messenger, or by appointment.

Five Colleges Library Catalog
Search for books, journals, and other materials by author, title, subject, keyword, call number, journal title, etc.

Research Databases
Access our subscription, electronic databases to locate full-text articles and search indexes to the literature of a subject from public library computers. Remote access to most databases is restricted to UMass Amherst students, faculty, and staff.List of public access (unrestricted) indexes and databases.
